“Action for Freedom from Torture”: An overview of activities

Since the project “Action for Freedom from Torture” started in December 2013, the coalitions against torture in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights (Poland), International Partnership for Human Rights (Belgium) and the Norwegian Helsinki Committee have carried out a wide range of activities.  This issue of the project partners’ newsletter gives examples of the organizations’ activities such as legal assistance to victims of torture, strategic litigation, trainings, national and international advocacy and media work.

This is the forth issue of the Freedom from torture newsletter that is published by the NGO coalitions against torture in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights (Poland), International Partnership for Human Rights (Belgium) and the Norwegian Helsinki Committee.
