Statements for OSCE conference on freedom of expression

4596112On 3-4 July 2014, representatives from the 57 OSCE participating States, civil society and international organizations will gather in Vienna for a two-day conference on the promotion of freedom of expression. International Partnership (IPHR) will participate in this conference and has prepared two statements for it, in cooperation with partner organizations.

The first statement highlights concerns regarding media restrictions, internet censorship, and harassment of journalists in Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan and is issued together with partner groups from these countries. Read the statement.

The second statement deals with current challenges to freedom of expression in Ukraine and has been prepared as part of a project that IPHR is currently coordinating in this country. Read the statement.
