Ahead of the OSCE Ministerial Meeting that took place in Kiev on 5-6 December, representatives of NGOs from across Europe, the former Soviet Union and North America met for a Parallel Civil Society Conference in this city. The conference was organized by the Civic Solidarity Platform, an NGO network of which IPHR is a member. Participants discussed current human rights issues in the OSCE region, including recent developments in the host country Ukraine, and adopted recommendations to the OSCE Participating States. IPHR Director Brigitte Dufour was present at the conference and spoke during the presentation of the outcome documents to the OSCE Ukraine Chairmanship and other OSCE representatives.
